Comparative Metabolic
Physiology Lab
The LeMoine lab at Brandon University is currently looking for graduate students to join our team in 2022-2023. There is currently a variety of funded projects available within the lab, or in collaboration with the Cassone lab. We are looking for motivated students, interested in applying various approaches and techniques to ongoing research themes in the lab.
Potential projects may include work on:
- the physiology of plastic eating waxworms (see this or this)
- metabolic regulation in CRISPR/morphants zebrafish (here)
- effects of microplastics in aquatic and terrestrial animals (see this or this)
- metabolism of the climbing gobies (here)
Check here for more info on these various models.
Interested students should contact Dr. LeMoine directly with a brief statement of research interest and how they fit with ongoing projects, a cv, and unofficial undergraduate transcripts. The positions are funded for at least a year, renewable pending funding availability.
Early applicants may be eligible for teaching assistantships.
Start date as early as Spring/Summer 2022 is preferred but negotiable
